Food Drive- Media Release

So excited :-) My add was posted in the paper today for the foodbank fundraiser.  I really hope this is a huge success.  I am not ashamed to say that there were times in my past that I had to visit the foodbank.  When my children were small we didn't have a lot of money and without the foodbank I honestly don't know what I would have done.

There is no shame in it...it happends.  Sometimes in life you are given a choice.  It's not always the choices in life that you want to face but they happen. So the choice here is Do I pay my heating bill or do I get food? ...what do you do?

You do what you gotta do to feed your kids.  Now that we are okay financially it's time to give back.

Winston Churchill said "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

Fundraiser

I'm doing a Halloween Photoshoot for the St.Josephs foodbank.  I went around looking for donations from our major corporations here in town.


Do you know that all of them turned me down.  They stated I needed to write a letter then a review board would look at them and decide if my fundraiser is worth donating items.


Really? You want me to write a letter in order to get a $2.00 bag of candy? This makes no sence to me.  What happend to helping your community? What happend to being kind to your neighbour?  I don't understand this day and age.  Everything is politics and red tape. Not kindness, not doing what's right.  My god.


Thank god I have great friends who are donating there time and energy to help me with this fundraiser and for bringing in prizes and treats for everyone.

Halloween shoot yesterday

Had a great shoot yesterday.  Mom was so creative with her sons costumes and props.  She always allows me to use her photographs for my albums. She always has a great eye for her shoots.  She always knows what she wants and we always share in the same visions.  Thanks so much Theresa for another great photoshoot. Can't wait to work with you again in the future :-)

Calling all Ghouls and Goblins!!!

Calling all the little goblins for a spooktacular photoshoot!!! on Saturday, October 29th 2011 from 12-3pm take advantage of the FREE sitting.
One picture per person, no appointment neccessary. While our monsters fill their tummies with treats halloween night let's not forget the less fortunate who need their tummies filled everyday. Bring a non perishable food item or drop off a donation and receive a coupon for ten dollars off a family photoshoot. . Located in Petawawa, Ontario at the gazebo in Centennial park. All proceeds will be donated to St.Josephs food bank.
